Do Europeans live longer than the rest of us? (Thematic Map)

Life Expectancy at Birth in European Countries

Life Expectancy at Birth in European Countries

Last month we had updated a thematic map of Africa on life expectancy. It was startling to uncover that lowest life expectancy in some African countries is down at 30 - 40 years. When our team sat to develop similar thematic maps for Europe, it was a contrast of realities. Like every map as a story, the life expectancy at birth in European countries was a different story.

Life Expectancy at Birth in European Countries: Among the European Countries, Monaco has the highest life expectancy at birth whereas Russia has the lowest. Most of the European Countries have life expectancy between 70 to 80 years.

Female Life Expectancy at Birth in European Countries: Among the European Countries, Monaco has the highest female life expectancy at birth and Russia has lowest female life expectancy at birth. Most of the European countries have female life expectancy between 80 to 85 years.
